Leveraging Diversity
As the Canadian workplace continuously evolves people of vastly diverse experiences and backgrounds and called to work together and perform at their best. This diversity enriches the workplace. At the same time, it poses a range of new challenges and accountabilities.
Athena’s Diversity offerings introduce to participants the complex face of diversity and offer roadmaps for putting it to work to the benefit of your organization. The programs also offer a roadmap for mitigating the potential risks associated with managing an ever-diverse workforce.
Some of Athena’s Diversity programs focus specifically on cultural-based diversity. These programs help participants recognize and appreciate the characteristics of their unique background and culture as well as the other cultures most common in the Canadian workforce and marketplace. By the end of these programs, participants are able to recognize and understand the common characteristics of each of the main cultural backgrounds in Canada.
Other Athena Diversity programs focus on creating a workplace that is respectful of all types pf diversity, well beyond culture-based differences. These programs help create a respectful workplace culture that can sustain diversity in all its forms and prevent unnecessary complaints - or lawsuits - from surfacing. With these offerings, training for employees and leaders is available, as well as leaders’ coaching, all with the goal of ensuring that dignity and respect are created and protected at all times.
