Productivity Transformed

Productivity Transformed is conducted as a series of exercises and short group inquiries that springboard participants into an entirely new relationship with productivity, accountability and peace of mind. Participants experience the opportunity to master this new relationship in their life and work.

Ideas: (Morning Session)

Breakthrough Contract: Productivity, accountability and peace of mind over the next 6 weeks. Specific measurements and new qualities of life and work are recorded.

Your Habits: A dynamic inquiry in which your habits are separated from the work environment and circumstances. Participants begin to take ownership of their habits. A contract for telling the truth is created.

Information Overload: Participants confront the rate of change in business today, information overload and their weak relationship with technology.

What do you have to do? Participants list everything they have to do in work and life. This confronting process is the foundation for breakthrough results.

Where do you keep track of it all? (Exercise and inquiry) Participants checklist all the tools they use to track everything they have to do. They begin to confront the scattered nature of their organizational life.

Can you do it all? (Inquiry) Participants confront this question.

The perfect plan for complete overwhelm: (Discussion) Individuals take ownership of the unique system they developed to create urgency and overwhelm. They recognize their pattern for creating open loop tasks and communications. They begin to see how this pattern undermines their certainty and peace of mind in life.

Breakthrough and Peace of Mind: (Inquiry) Participants begin to create a new vision for results, peace of mind, presence and real accountability. They begin to look at the cost of their reactive habits on their professionalism and ability to keep promises.

Close the Loop: (Inquiry) Participants inquire into a closed loop relationship with everything they have to do. They become present to the possibility of being completely complete with everything they have to do in life.

When are you going to do this? (Exercise and discussion) Participants begin to resolve a closed loop relationship with everything they have to do

Why is this important to you? (Exercise and inquiry) Participants begin to distinguish their unique set of core values that motivate and energize their actions. They also begin to recognize their unique pattern that allows their core values to negatively impact their productivity and ability to keep their promises.

A life of accomplishment: (Exercise and inquiry) Participants practice closed loop thinking by creating a plan for complete certainty and peace of mind in one of their current projects. They explore the power of visual thinking and looking backward from the future to drive results.

Tools: (Afternoon Session)

Capture Tool: (Presentation and discussion) Participants confront the limits of short-term memory and develop a practice to dramatically reduce their stress in life.

Schedule: (Discussion and objections) Participants develop a powerful new dynamic relationship with scheduling. This conversation erases the old guilt-driven relationship with scheduling and creates a new visual relationship with time. A new approach to MS Outlook is explored.

A powerful relationship with interruptions:  practice a new relationship with unscheduled activities and build a personal interruption promise for the next 10 days.

Unscheduled Promises: Participants develop a system for tracking open loop promises. Participants practice saying no appropriately and negotiating realistic expectations.

Real Accountability: (Discussion) Participants begin to distinguish real accountability by practicing a closed loop conversation for accountability.

Never Scheduled: (Discussion) Participants create a new freedom by declaring what they are never scheduling for the next 30 days.

A powerful relationship with technology: (Discussion) Participants create a new stress-free and balanced relationship with technology based on the concept of play and apply it to where they are weakest.

Meetings Drive Results: (Presentation and discussion) Participants practice a new set of team meeting agreements and build a plan to use meetings to drive results.

End Email Addiction: (Presentation and discussion) Participants confront the cost of their addictive relationship with email and how it reduces their ability to keep promises. They build a new addiction-free email plan and promise

What’s Next? (Discussion) Participants confront the challenge of mastering their new relationship with productivity and peace of mind. The group creates a contract to participate in coaching and rollout the ideas and tools of Productivity Transformed.
