Luigi Benetton ~ Partnering for the “Perfect Fit”

Too many people have difficulty understanding the technology they have to work with. That’s why, whether in writing or in coaching, Luigi Benetton seeks to bring today’s essential technology within the grasp of a wide variety of professionals with diverse needs.

Computer coaching – not training – is Luigi’s preferred method of teaching. In computer training, an instructor takes the fire hose of knowledge to a docile group of learners with little or no regard for their specific needs. Computer coaching  is different. In a four-stage process, Luigi takes the time to make sure that individual learners get exactly the knowledge  they need.  His secret? In a one-on-one session, Luigi focuses on the  learner’s goal, such as a presentation or report, and not the software used to create it.

Luigi’s talent for bringing the technologically complex within reach of average computer users has its roots in his background as a computer trainer, course designer, technical writer and performance coach.

Luigi continues to write for both technology firms such as MTS Allstream and SAS, as well as organizations that require manuals and job aids, such as the Ontario Ministry of Health.

As a freelance journalist, Luigi has been published in trade journals such as EDGE – Executives in a Digital Economy, Computing Canada, Lawyers Weekly, CNS Magazine, Communications and Networking, and others. Luigi’s non-IT related publishing credits include Award Magazine, Canadian Grocer, Squash Magazine and Toronto Business Times.

In his practice, Luigi often relies on the knowledge he gained from a Bachelor of Commerce, earned at the University of Toronto. He also eases communications for clients who are more comfortable speaking in French, Spanish and Italian.

Luigi plays squash and hockey almost religiously and relies on yoga to undo the effects of these two sports.
