Drawing on 25 years experience in the field of adult education, culture and English as a Second Language (ESL), Heather’s experience includes teaching and assessing all levels and subjects of ESL, leading professional development seminars and developing educational materials. She has taught extensively in community programs, post-secondary ESL, business ESL, private tutoring and has worked both nationally and internationally.
With ESL certification from the University of Toronto and TESL Ontario, along with a Masters degree from York University, Heather’s training includes courses in adult education, second language acquisition, English pronunciation, inter-cultural communication, voice and music. By drawing on this combination of education and experience in various aspects of voice, ESL, adult education and culture, Heather has developed expertise in the area of communication and learning, and is able to take a global approach to language assessment and training, inter-cultural communications and materials development.
