Ashley Walkley founded and is the principal of a high energy, people centered skills training and personal development firm based in Toronto. Using unique self-discovery and experiential training techniques he focuses on improving the skills, behaviour and knowledge of candidates to transform them into highly effective and compelling ambassadors for the company's they represent.
Prior to founding his own business, Ashley distinguished himself through exceptional achievement in both public and private sector organizations. As the front-line force within these organizations he both raised their profile and corporate equity as well as delivering bottom-line results well in excess of plan and expectation.
Ashley arrived in Canada in 1980 as Manager for Thomas Hardy & Sons Australian wine and as the pioneer Australian wine marketer in North America is recognized as having set the framework for the remarkable growth of "down under" wine in Canada. He is an acknowledged wine authority and founder of the Australian Wine Society.
Having decided to stay in Canada, Ashley was recruited but the Australian Consulate General in 1985 as Senior Marketing Officer where he increased the visibility and commercial success of Australian interests in Canada through both diplomatic can commercial channels.
In 1988 he joined the Stroh Brewery Co. Of Detroit Michigan where he played a key role in the bi-lateral Canada/US trade negotiations resulting in the dismantling of trade barriers and full market access for foreign brewers - at the same time growing the Canadian operation to be the largest and most profitable division within the Stroh organization.
Ashley currently teaches sales, influencing and etiquette skills in corporations.
